Cedar Rapids Opera Theater

Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre brings professional opera to Eastern Iowa with two to three operas each season in addition to other opera related events throughout the year. As a specialized arts organization it was imperative that Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre have a professional and highly functional website. Informatics teamed with CR Opera Theatre for a website redesign that included extended functionality and a new look and feel.

The homepage of the new website presents multiple layers of information and interaction. Primary navigation creates an easy and intuitive option for visitors who know exactly the information they are looking for. Below that a large primary image from past performances—loaded randomly from a predetermined selection—visually accompanies an interactive list of the year’s current season. Hovering over this list will display additional information about each performance.

Further down on the homepage even more information is available. Two paragraphs briefly explain the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre initiative. A news listing, sample our work, and support your opera segments complete the multitude of information on the homepage.

CR Opera Theatre website is equipped with a content management system. This allows website administrators to change, rearrange, and update content seamlessly. A custom contact form also allows the organization to collect and rapidly process information from interested visitors.
