Great Plains Diesel Technologies is a new company from Ames, IA focused on significantly improving diesel fuel economy. The primary goal of the website was to present the company as a credible source for new technology.

“As a start-up company working on a revolutionary new technology, “ explains Robert Kibbe, Great Plains Business Development “our biggest need upfront with the outside world is to communicate credibility with them.” To that end Informatics expounded upon established website paradigms to create a site that is contemporary, reliable, and trustworthy www.greatplainsdieseltechnologies.com.

The dominant element of the homepage is a full-width image that rotates between the three primary marketing messages of GPDT. Additional homepage elements include succinct navigation, text explaining the company, latest company news, and an interactive content area that focuses on the greatest benefits of the new technology. Informatics also developed Great Plains branding identity through the creation of a new logo.

Secondary pages continue to add credibility as they explain who GPDT are, what they do, contact information, and an elaborate section that explores the technology in great detail. “Our website is the first impression that our company has to the outside world and it’s of the highest importance that the first impression be a great one,” Kibbe says. “The Informatics team helped build an online presence that immediately established credibility, highlights our technology, and puts us in a position to succeed.”
